As we envision how schools and youth programs will look in the fall, we understand that you are concerned about how you will support your students’ social and emotional well-being.
I’m pleased to announce that our SEL programs, all based on true stories written by teens, are now available to your teams virtually or in-person.
We have also enhanced our professional development to help educators build a trauma-informed approach to teaching and learning.
True stories by teens are central to our approach to SEL, and could be a crucial component of your community’s racial equity plans next year. This strategy authentically builds more equitable communities by radically centralizing the perspectives of youth of color, and gives adults and students the tools they need to talk about race, justice, and inequality.

Thank you for your commitment to nurturing your students’ social and emotional needs throughout this challenging time. We hope you’ll reach out to us about how we can work together to engage your students with culturally relevant content that values the experiences of young people.
Warmly,
Betsy Cohen
