Youth Communication has professional development offerings designed to help educators strengthen their group facilitation skills and effectively implement our programs with teens. We offer a variety of training and coaching options.

ALL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OFFERINGS WILL HELP STAFF:

  • Use a story-based approach to engage struggling teens
  • Build a safe and inclusive space
  • Practice active listening
  • Ask open-ended questions
  • Recognize teens’ strengths and work from them
  • Strengthen their own social and emotional skills
  • Foster a community of readers
  • Support reluctant readers

Supervisors and staff regularly report that our Leader’s Trainings are some of the most effective and inspiring professional development offerings they have experienced.
